Shareholder Bradley Wm. Bowen is the newly elected chair of the Utah CPA Political Action Committee for the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants (UACPA).  This committee represents the interests of its members on various political issues.  Mr. Bowen has served on the UACPA Professional Conduct Committee and was chair of the Tax Symposium Task Force.

Mr. Bowen earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Utah in 1987 and has been employed by Strong & Hanni since November 1985.  Mr. Bowen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Utah in 1984, graduating cum laude.  In college he was a member of the Beta Alpha Psi, National Accounting Service and Honor Society, and worked as a tax accountant for First Security Bank.  The State of Utah licensed Mr. Bowen as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1985.

Mr. Bowen became a member of the Utah State Bar, and was admitted to practice before the Utah Supreme Court and the United States District Court in 1987.  He was admitted to the United States Tax Court in 1991.  Mr. Bowen served as President of the Business Law Section of the Utah State Bar from 1994 to1995, and has served as a Bar Examiner, Estates & Wills, from 1992 to present.  He has served as an advisor to the Board of Directors for the United Way of Davis County since 1997.  Mr. Bowen served on the Board of Directors of the Salt Lake Estate Planning Council in 1999 and 2000, and served on the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants annual tax symposium committee from 1996 to 2002.  Mr. Bowen was selected as the Distinguished Tax Practitioner Of The Year for 2006 by the Tax Section of the Utah State Bar. 

Mr. Bowen frequently presents seminars on estate planning, trusts, probate and business planning to the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants, Utah Society of Public Accountants, International Association of Financial Planners, and other professional and community groups. He is a member of the Salt Lake County Bar Association; Davis County Bar Association; American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; and the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Bowen is fluent in Spanish.

Mr. Bowen is a member of the firms Business, Real Estate, Securities, Tax and Estate Planning Group.  His areas of practice include Trusts and Wills, Closely Held Corporations, Taxation, Business Planning, Probate, Commercial Transactions, Family Wealth Transfer, and Real Estate.
