Bill has several years experience representing corporate and individual clients in complex commercial litigation and business matters. He is a skilled attorney who regularly appears in federal and state courts. Bill has obtained many favorable decisions for both plaintiffs and defendants on summary judgment, at trial, on appeal, and in alternative dispute resolution. Most recently, he has successfully represented MonaVie, a Utah-based network marketing company, in several litigation matters involving breach of contract, business torts, and other claims. Some recent representative matters from Bill’s practice include:

• Amway v. Mona Vie, Inc. et al., Case Nos. 2:08-cv-204 and -209 (D. Utah 2008-2010) (represented MonaVie in an action alleging tortious interference with distributor contracts, trade secret misappropriation, and false advertising; successfully argued preclusion of expert valuation of alleged trade secret misappropriation claim)

• EPWA, L.L.C. v. FF-20, LC, Case No. 07-0100725 (Utah Dist. 2005-2010) (successfully obtained summary judgment and trial decisions for defendant real property owner against boundary-by-acquiescence claim)

• Bustos v. Salt Lake General Contracting, LLC et al., Case No. 080903525 (Utah Dist. 2008) (successfully obtained summary judgment for defendant parties to a real estate purchase and development contract dismissing breach-of-contract and all other claims)

• Monarch Health Sciences v. Corkin et al., Case Nos. 2:06-cv-440 and -537 (D. Utah 2006-2008) (represented Monarch and individual third-party defendants in an action alleging breaches of securities agreements and fraud; successfully obtained summary judgment decisions dismissing non-contract claims and determining the proper valuation of stock warrants)
